The Importance of Crypto Portfolio Tracking
Efficient portfolio tracking is essential for maximizing profits and minimizing risks. Here are key reasons why:
- Centralized Overview: Combine data from various exchanges and wallets into a single, unified dashboard.
- Enhanced Decision-Making: Access real-time analytics to evaluate performance and market trends.
- Optimal Risk Management: Stay aware of asset allocations to prevent overexposure.
altFINS: Your Go-To Solution for Portfolio Tracking
altFINS provides a comprehensive crypto portfolio tracker. Here’s what makes it stand out:
- Centralized Exchange Integration: Easily connect accounts from top exchanges like Binance, Kraken, Bitfinex, and Gate.io. altFINS syncs transaction histories and updates balances. More centralized exchanges, such as Bybit, will be added soon.
- Wallet Compatibility: Track assets from multiple MetaMask wallets.
- Open Orders: This table shows trades that have been sent to an exchange but have not yet filled or only partially filled. This is often the case for limit order types.
- Transaction History: For connected exchanges, the system will display your entire history of past trades. In order to ingest the entire history, you need to sync each exchange account: go to YourUserName > Accounts, select an exchange account and press Sync. The process can take a few minutes.
- All-in-one platform: altFINS covers the whole workflow, including finding coins to trade, analysis, trading, and portfolio tracking.
- Portfolio Alerts: You can specify in the field when setting up alerts whether you prefer to receive alerts for the coins in your portfolio.

Understanding Open Orders and Transaction History
Open Orders:
Refers to cryptocurrency buy or sell orders that have been placed but not yet executed or fulfilled on the connected exchange. These could include limit orders, stop orders, or other order types that remain active until they are either completed, canceled, or expire.
Details of Open Orders table:
- Timestamp: The exact date and time when the order was placed.
- Asset: The specific cryptocurrency or trading pair involved in the order (e.g., BTC/USD, ETH/USDT).
- Exchange: The platform where the order was executed.
- Network: The blockchain network used for the transaction.
- Amount: The total quantity of cryptocurrency involved in the order.
- Filled Status: Indicates whether the order has been fully executed or is still open.
- Limit Price: The set price at which the trader is willing to buy or sell the cryptocurrency, ensuring the order is executed only if the market reaches this price or better.
- Order Type (Side): Specifies whether the order is a buy limit (to purchase at or below the set price) or a sell limit (to sell at or above the set price).Tip: The Open Orders table should automatically refresh, but if it does not, for some reason, you can use the refresh icon to force refresh. If that does not help, try Sync under YourUserName > Accounts section.
