Rhuna Secures $2 Million to Revolutionize Entertainment Payments with Stablecoins
In a significant stride for the stablecoin sector, Rhuna, a Romania-based infrastructure platform, has successfully raised $2 million in seed funding. This capital injection is poised to fuel the company's ambitious expansion plans, focusing on integrating stablecoin payments across the burgeoning entertainment industry.
Funding a Seamless Digital Experience
The seed round, spearheaded by Aptos Labs, garnered participation from notable investors including Acc Ventures, X Ventures, NewTribe Capital, Keyrock, CoinarkCap Labs, FunFair, and Lémanique. Rhuna's core offering provides event organizers with a unified, programmable layer for wallet-native checkout and Point of Sale (POS) systems, encompassing ticketing, access control, and real-time stablecoin settlement. This innovative approach positions Rhuna's infrastructure as a "universal entertainment pass," designed to bridge the gap between traditional event experiences and the efficiency of on-chain identity and value transfer.
Global Impact and Future Vision
Rhuna has already demonstrated its capabilities, having facilitated experiences for over 2 million users through pilot deployments and processed an impressive $90 million in transaction volume. The platform has powered more than 165 events and major festivals, including prominent European events like UNTOLD and Neversea. A standout achievement was its role in UNTOLD, one of the world's top music festivals held in Romania, where over 450,000 attendees utilized Rhuna-powered payment and access systems. The fresh funding will specifically enhance Rhuna's payment and settlement rails, expand its toolkit for organizers, and accelerate the launch of its consumer-facing app. This app aims to consolidate discovery, access, and wallet-native checkout into a single, seamless user experience, further validating the platform's scalability in global entertainment ecosystems, including the upcoming UNTOLD Dubai festival. Rhuna's co-founder and CEO, Sveatoslav Vizitiu, emphasizes the platform's commitment to making every step of the entertainment journey—from entry to going home—verifiable, programmable, and portable, empowering operators and allowing fans to truly own their experiences.
