21Shares Unveils New Staking Distributions for Multi-Asset ETF Portfolio
In a significant move for institutional crypto investment, 21Shares has announced its September staking distributions across five major exchange-traded funds (ETFs). By converting on-chain validation rewards into direct cash payouts, the asset manager is providing investors with a tangible yield beyond simple price exposure, signaling a new era for proof-of-stake investment vehicles.
Hyperliquid Leads the Pack in Payout Volume
The latest round of distributions covers a diverse range of assets, including Ethereum (TETH), Solana (TSOL), Hyperliquid (THYP), Sui (TSUI), and Polkadot (TDOT). Among these, the Hyperliquid Staking ETF emerged as the standout performer, delivering the largest per-share distribution at $0.191360. Other notable payouts include Solana at $0.076590 and Ethereum at $0.031602 per share. Investors on record as of September 29 are eligible for these payments, which are scheduled for distribution on September 30.
The Evolution of Crypto Investment Economics
This shift highlights an important transition in the crypto fund market: the move from passive price tracking to active yield generation. While original crypto ETFs focused solely on price exposure, the current generation of products aims to capture the native economics of proof-of-stake networks. By navigating the operational complexities of validator infrastructure and regulatory compliance, 21Shares is allowing traditional investors to participate in the "staking economy" without the technical hurdles of managing individual tokens. The inclusion of emerging networks like Sui and Hyperliquid alongside established giants like Ethereum demonstrates the growing breadth of institutional-grade staking products.
