Crypto investment products recently experienced a significant turnaround, attracting billions in capital after a period of outflows. This resurgence signals renewed investor confidence across major digital assets, pushing total assets under management close to their all-time highs.
Market Reversal and Broad Inflows
Global crypto Exchange Traded Products (ETPs) saw a remarkable $3.3 billion in inflows last week, effectively reversing previous negative trends. This substantial capital injection boosted total Assets Under Management (AUM) to $239 billion, nearing the record high of $244 billion set just last month. The inflows occurred amidst modest price gains for the underlying cryptocurrencies, with Bitcoin rising 3.3%, Ether up 4.6%, and Solana leading with an impressive 11.6% increase in value.
Bitcoin and Ether Lead the Charge
Bitcoin-based products were at the forefront of this resurgence, recording their largest weekly inflows since July, totaling $2.4 billion. This robust performance indicates a strong bullish sentiment returning to the flagship cryptocurrency, while short Bitcoin products saw modest outflows. Similarly, Ether ETPs broke a prolonged streak of outflows, attracting $646 million in capital last week. This reflects a significant positive shift in investor interest for the second-largest digital asset, demonstrating a broad market recovery in sentiment.
Solana's Explosive Growth Fueled by Corporate Moves
Solana ETPs demonstrated exceptional momentum, with weekly inflows reaching $198 million, including a record single-day inflow of $145 million. This surge in interest was significantly influenced by recent corporate developments. Forward Industries announced a massive $1.65 billion Solana crypto treasury, the largest of its kind, backed by major crypto firms like Galaxy Digital, Jump Crypto, and Multicoin Capital. Following this announcement, Galaxy Digital actively acquired Solana tokens, purchasing $1.5 billion worth, with up to $305 million in a single day, further fueling the asset's impressive performance and investor appeal.
