XRP Ledger Hits New Transaction Peaks as Institutional Adoption Accelerates
The XRP Ledger is no longer just a playground for retail traders. Recent data from Evernorth reveals that daily transaction volumes have surged to nearly 3 million, a significant jump from the 1 million recorded in mid-2025. This growth is being driven by real-world banking activity and the integration of major financial institutions into the ecosystem.
From Speculation to Utility
According to Evernorth, a treasury company focused on the XRP ecosystem, the network is witnessing a fundamental shift in usage patterns. High-profile entities such as Bitstamp, Braza Bank, and Ripple’s own RLUSD stablecoin are now fueling the ledger's traffic. Asheesh Birla, Evernorth’s CEO, emphasizes that the true long-term value of the token lies in its role as working capital for businesses rather than a speculative asset. Birla noted that even as macroeconomic pressures and geopolitical tensions weigh on token prices, the underlying network utility continues to reach record highs.
Bridging the Gap for Traditional Finance
To facilitate further growth, Evernorth is positioning itself as a bridge for traditional asset managers who may be hesitant to handle private keys and digital wallets directly. By offering exposure through its own stock, the firm provides a familiar market wrapper for banks and funds to participate in the ecosystem. This strategy is backed by industry giants including Ripple, Kraken, and Pantera Capital.
A Path Toward Public Markets
Evernorth is currently moving toward a Nasdaq debut via a merger with Armada Acquisition Corp II, having filed an updated Form S-4 with the SEC. The firm's roadmap includes expanding its XRP holdings through institutional lending, liquidity provision, and decentralized finance (DeFi) activity on the XRP Ledger. As major European banks begin hosting regulated euro stablecoins on the ledger, the transition from experimental blockchain usage to mainstream financial integration appears to be entering its next critical phase.
