This network improvement is expected to slash gas fees by over 78% and boost transaction speeds to 10,000 per second. If this technical milestone coincides with increased Ethereum ETF inflows and Bitcoin breaking above the $90,000 mark, Daodu predicts ETH could surpass $4,000 in the third quarter. In this "bull case," Ethereum could conclude 2026 trading between $5,000 and $7,500.
The Base Case: Steady Consolidation
In a more restrained "base case," the Glamsterdam upgrade is implemented but fails to ignite an immediate market frenzy. Under these conditions, ETF inflows remain positive but slow, and Bitcoin rises toward $85,000 without a decisive breakout. This roadmap suggests Ethereum would steadily clear the $3,000 mark in the third quarter and test $4,000 in the final months of the year, ultimately closing 2026 within a range of $3,000 to $4,200.
The Bear Case: Macro Pressures and Delays
