Several prominent cryptocurrency exchanges and wallet providers have recently expanded their offerings to include XRP and XRPL-backed assets. Binance, a leading global exchange, successfully integrated RLUSD—Ripple's enterprise stablecoin—directly onto the XRP Ledger in February, facilitating faster and cheaper fund movements within the ecosystem. Following suit, Bitget Wallet has also added the XRPL mainnet, enabling seamless XRP and RLUSD transfers. Rakuten Opens XRP to Millions in Japan
Perhaps the most impactful development comes from Japan, where e-commerce giant Rakuten has brought XRP into its extensive payment network through its subsidiary, Rakuten Wallet. This strategic integration, announced on April 14, allows Rakuten's more than 44 million users to spend XRP at over 5 million merchant locations, trade it within the app, and even convert their Rakuten loyalty points directly into XRP.
