XRPL's Deliberate Design for Stability
Vet, a respected validator on the XRP Ledger, recently argued that XRP is uniquely engineered to spearhead the next phase of DeFi. His argument centers not on raw performance metrics, but on XRPL's fundamental design choices. Unlike many rival chains that prioritize complex smart contract composability and staking, XRPL intentionally omits these features. This deliberate simplification, Vet contends, allows the platform to circumvent "multiplicative risk" – cascading failures and compounded vulnerabilities often seen in more complex DeFi protocols.
