Ethereum's Ascendant Trajectory: Eyeing $2,400 Amid Sustained Bull Run
Ethereum (ETH) has recently embarked on an impressive upside rally, confidently breaching the crucial $2,250 resistance zone. The cryptocurrency is currently exhibiting strong positive indicators, positioning itself for potential further gains with sights set firmly on the $2,400 mark. This sustained upward momentum suggests a prevailing bullish sentiment in the market.
Sustained Growth and Key Breakouts
Following in the footsteps of Bitcoin's recent climb, Ethereum successfully cleared significant resistance levels, including the $2,150 and $2,200 zones. This propelled the price past $2,320 and $2,350, reaching a recent high of $2,385. ETH is now consolidating these gains, trading comfortably above the $2,320 level and the 100-hourly Simple Moving Average. A key bullish trend line has also formed, providing strong support near $2,120 on the hourly chart of ETH/USD. Should the bulls maintain their dominance and clear the $2,400 resistance, Ethereum could target higher levels, potentially reaching $2,450 and even extending towards $2,500 or $2,550 in the near term.
Navigating Resistance and Downside Risks
Despite the bullish outlook, immediate resistance is noted near $2,365, with the first major hurdle at $2,380 before the critical $2,400 zone. Technical indicators such as the Hourly MACD for ETH/USD are showing increasing bullish momentum, while the Hourly RSI remains above the 50 zone, reinforcing the positive sentiment. However, a failure to overcome the $2,400 resistance could trigger a fresh decline. Initial downside support is found near $2,320, with the first major support around $2,220, aligning with the 50% Fibonacci retracement level of the recent upward move from $2,062 to $2,385. A break below $2,220 could lead to further losses, potentially pushing the price towards the $2,150 and ultimately the main support level at $2,050.
