A bold prediction from a retired U.S. Army combat medic and now social media market commentator, Patrick L. Riley, suggests that XRP is poised to surpass Bitcoin as the world's most valuable cryptocurrency. This audacious forecast not only charts a massive price climb for XRP but also includes a concise outlook on the escalating Israel-Iran conflict.
The Path to Overtaking King Bitcoin
Riley, known for his unbacked yet firm assertions on social media, posits that XRP, currently trading around $1.41, needs to surge to nearly $24 to claim the top spot. According to recent market data, XRP holds the fourth position with a market capitalization close to $87 billion, trailing significantly behind Bitcoin's $1.45 trillion, Ethereum's $254 billion, and BNB's $89.3 billion. For XRP to challenge Bitcoin, it would first need to close the 3.5% gap with BNB, then achieve an approximately 190% increase to overtake Ethereum, pushing its price beyond $4.15, before an ultimate surge to $23.70 to surpass Bitcoin. XRP last outperformed Ethereum in December 2019 and has since fluctuated between third and fourth place, often contending with BNB.
