Blockchain Summit Latam (BSL) is gearing up for a significant regional impact with the announcement of "BSL On Tour 2026," a landmark initiative designed to foster institutional dialogue on blockchain adoption across Latin America. Moving beyond traditional retail-focused events, this tour signals a strategic pivot towards engaging key financial and regulatory bodies, emphasizing the region's readiness for concrete blockchain implementation.
BSL On Tour 2026: A New Institutional Focus
Unlike previous editions, BSL On Tour 2026 is specifically tailored as a high-level technical and institutional forum. Its primary objective is to catalyze conversations between central banks, financial regulators, stock exchanges, clearing and settlement infrastructure, commercial banks, and institutional blockchain technology providers. The tour will unfold in partnership with leading universities in three key countries: commencing in Lima, Peru (May 13-15) with Universidad del Pacífico; moving to Santiago, Chile (August 5-7) in collaboration with Universidad de Chile; and concluding in Bogotá, Colombia (November 5-6) with Universidad EAFIT. This academic alliance underscores the tour's commitment to rigorous technical discourse and strategic policy development, aiming to convene over 3,000 attendees, including public authorities and banking leaders.
Driving Regional Blockchain Implementation
The tour's agenda is strategically structured into three thematic blocks, designed to address the multifaceted aspects of blockchain's integration into the financial landscape. These include an in-depth focus on regulation, central banks, and financial infrastructure; institutional digital assets and markets, exploring topics like real-world asset (RWA) tokenization and stablecoins; and finally, global financial integration, envisioning the convergence of traditional finance with blockchain-based infrastructures by 2030. According to Rodrigo Sainz, founder and CEO of BSL, this initiative reflects a pivotal moment where Latin America is transitioning from blockchain exploration to concrete regulatory implementation and advanced tokenization in capital markets. The tour seeks to accelerate regional coordination from a technical and responsible perspective, reflecting the region's growing maturity as a hub for digital asset development and regulatory frameworks.
