Boerse Stuttgart Group, a leading European stock exchange operator, is strategically merging its dedicated crypto division, Boerse Stuttgart Digital, with Frankfurt-based digital asset trading firm Tradias. This consolidation aims to significantly expand their presence in the institutional cryptocurrency market throughout Europe. The combined entity will bring together approximately 300 employees and offer a comprehensive suite of digital asset services, including brokerage, trading, custody, staking, and tokenized assets, specifically tailored for banks, brokers, and other financial institutions seeking fully regulated crypto infrastructure.
Leveraging Complementary Strengths for Market Leadership
The merger is designed to harness the distinct strengths of both organizations, positioning them as a formidable force in the European market. Boerse Stuttgart Digital has already established a robust, MiCA-compliant crypto infrastructure, demonstrating impressive growth with crypto trading volumes tripling and accounting for a quarter of its total revenues in 2024. Tradias, operating as the digital assets division of Bankhaus Scheich, brings a valuable BaFin securities trading license and crucial execution capabilities.
