Binance has issued a critical update regarding the upcoming delisting and automatic settlement of several USDⓈ-M perpetual contracts. Users trading these specific contracts are urged to take immediate action to avoid potential complications and forced settlements, as strict deadlines and unique liquidation rules will soon apply.

Crucial Deadlines for Contract Delisting

Effective January 21, 2026, at 09:00 UTC, Binance will automatically settle and delist the USDⓈ-M perpetual contracts for BID/USDT, DMC/USDT, ZRC/USDT, and TANSSI/USDT. Prior to this, users will be unable to open new positions on these contracts starting from 08:30 UTC on the same day. Traders are strongly advised to close any open positions before the final settlement time to prevent involuntary liquidation and ensure a smooth exit from these markets.

Understanding Settlement Mechanics and Risk Management

The final hour leading up to the delisting introduces specific risks: Binance Futures’ Insurance Fund will not support liquidations during this period. Instead, any liquidations will be executed as Immediate-or-Cancel orders, with any unresolved portions handled through Auto-Deleveraging if margin requirements are not met. Binance also cautions users to proactively manage their positions due to anticipated higher volatility and reduced liquidity as the deadline approaches. Furthermore, the platform reserves the right to implement additional risk controls, such as adjustments to leverage, margin, or funding rates, without prior notice, especially under extreme market conditions.
