Splendor (SPLD) is the native gas and utility asset of Splendor Network, a standalone, EVM-compatible Layer-1 blockchain (chain ID 2691) built by Splendor Labs. Unlike tokens issued on Ethereum, BNB Chain, or Solana, SPLD has no ERC-20/SPL contract address; it exists only as its own chain's built-in coin.
Splendor Labs positions the network as infrastructure for an AI-driven economy, supporting products such as Splendor Search, an AI Studio offering more than 600 models, and an Agent Factory. SPLD began trading publicly on the LBank exchange in October 2025, following the network's launch.
Splendor differentiates itself by targeting AI agents as first-class network users rather than only human traders. The project cites throughput of more than 10,000 transactions per second in production (peaking at 2.35 million TPS in testing) and one-second block times, alongside GPU acceleration and claimed quantum-resistant cryptography.
A notable feature is the x402 protocol, intended to enable low- or zero-fee agent-to-agent micropayments. As of 2026-08-31, live components of this ecosystem include an AI Studio offering more than 600 models and a functioning Splendor Search API, giving the network's AI-economy positioning some operational backing.
SPLD functions as a utility token: it is the native asset used to pay gas fees for transactions and smart-contract execution on Splendor Network. Press materials also reference the x402 protocol, through which SPLD is intended to enable low- or zero-fee micropayments between AI agents transacting on the chain.
SPLD is not an ERC-20 or SPL contract token.
Because total supply is fixed at issuance rather than expanded through ongoing block-reward emission, SPLD's supply schedule is disinflationary by design once the full 26 billion tokens are in circulation.
SPLD began public trading on the LBank exchange at 09:00 UTC on October 23-24, 2025, following Splendor Network's mainnet launch. Splendor Labs had announced a seed funding round targeting $50 million in an August 25, 2025 press release, of which approximately $4.5 million was reported as actually committed, with White Rock Group LLC named as an investor.
An earlier token sale priced SPLD at approximately $0.4526 per token.
SPLD runs on Splendor Network, a standalone, EVM-compatible Layer-1 blockchain built by Splendor Labs with chain ID 2691.
It is not a token deployed on Ethereum, BNB Chain, or Solana, and the network relies on validator-based participation to secure transactions.
Splendor Labs was founded by Todor Ivanov, who has described Splendor as "the economic fabric where intelligence is produced, exchanged, and rewarded."
CertiK Skynet notes that the team's identity has not been KYC-verified.
Splendor Labs is the organization building and maintaining Splendor Network. It also operates an associated suite of AI products, including Splendor Search, Splendor Coder, an AI Studio offering more than 600 models, an Agent Factory, and a planned Splendor OS and Wallet.
Press coverage references "validator-tier governance for global participation and security" as a network feature.
Third-party assessment by CertiK Skynet scores Splendor's governance strength at only 10%, its lowest-weighted sub-category alongside community trust, consistent with a largely undeveloped governance framework at this stage.
CertiK Skynet gives Splendor an overall score of 71.63, rated "BBB." The assessment flags that the project has not been audited by CertiK or any other third party, that the team's identity is not KYC-verified, and that no bug bounty program exists.
Reported market data shows thin liquidity, with pricing on some platforms sourced from a single exchange and market, and daily trading volume far below headline market-capitalization figures. The July 2026 transfer of 500,000,000 SPLD to a single corporate holder also concentrates a large token block with one recent recipient.
