RedStone (RED) is the native token of RedStone, a modular oracle protocol that delivers price and data feeds to decentralized finance applications. The RED token is an ERC-20 asset with its canonical mint on Ethereum mainnet, also bridged to Base, while RedStone's own materials describe plans to extend to Solana and other networks after the token launch. The underlying RedStone protocol is chain-agnostic middleware deployed across a large and growing number of blockchains. RedStone was founded in 2021 during the Arweave incubation program and shipped its first mainnet deployments in January 2023.
RedStone differentiates itself through a modular oracle design integrated deeply with major DeFi lending and yield protocols, including Compound, Morpho, Venus, Pendle, Euler, Spark/SparkLend, and Securitize. As of 2026-06-11, RedStone feeds reportedly secure 99.6% of total value secured across Morpho's HyperEVM markets, roughly $359 million. RedStone's 2025 acquisition of Credora Network added on-chain credit-risk ratings alongside price data, marketed as the "RedStone Stack" bundling deterministic pricing, liquidation intelligence, and credit-risk assessment for DeFi and institutional clients.
RED functions as a utility and incentive token, used for staking and to fund data-provider and ecosystem incentive mechanisms that support the oracle network's operation, per RedStone's tokenomics documentation.
RED has a maximum supply cap of 1,000,000,000 tokens. Approximately 597,000,000 RED have been minted on Ethereum, with circulating supply of approximately 499.8 million RED as of 2026-09-03.
Ongoing vesting unlocks make net emission mildly inflationary near-term, with on-chain supply growth measured around 0.17% daily.
RedStone's token generation event concluded on 2025-03-06. This followed a $525,000 pre-seed round (July 2021, led by Maven 11 Capital), a $7,000,000 seed round (August 2022, led by Lemniscap), and a $15,000,000 Series A (closed July 2, 2024, led by Arrington Capital), totaling over $22.5 million disclosed. A "Miner Airdrop" allocated 5% of total supply to community members ahead of TGE. The Ethereum contract was deployed 2025-02-07, notably later than RedStone's 2021 founding and January 2023 mainnet launch.
The RED token's canonical deployment is on Ethereum mainnet as an ERC-20 token, secured by Ethereum's proof-of-stake consensus; RED is also bridged to Base. The RedStone oracle protocol itself does not run its own blockchain or validator set — it is chain-agnostic middleware operating across a large and growing number of blockchains and rollups, each secured by that chain's own consensus mechanism, rather than RedStone imposing a single consensus model.
RedStone's co-founders, repeatedly identified across independent coverage of its funding rounds, are Jakub Wojciechowski and Marcin Kazmierczak. The project was founded in 2021 during the Arweave incubation program. Investors across its funding history include Maven 11 Capital, Lemniscap, Coinbase Ventures, Blockchain Capital, and Arrington Capital, among others. Following RedStone's 2025 acquisition of Credora Network, Credora co-founders Darshan Vaidya and Matt Ficke joined RedStone as strategic advisors.
RedStone is maintained by the RedStone Distributed Data Association, a Swiss association (Verein) headquartered in Baar, Zug, Switzerland, registered on 2021-12-21. Publicly announced in a 2025-02-06 blog post, the association is mandated to foster and maintain a decentralized network of oracle data providers, oversee ecosystem expansion, and safeguard the network's decentralization and censorship resistance. Its terms of use are governed by Swiss law, with exclusive jurisdiction in the courts of Baar.
RedStone acquired Credora Network, a Coinbase Ventures-, S&P-, and HashKey-backed on-chain credit-rating platform, announced 2025-09-04, forming "Credora by RedStone." A 2025-11-06 blog post describes bringing Credora risk ratings live on Morpho and Spark. Through 2026, RedStone's blog posts (2026-03-30 and 2026-06-11) describe the "RedStone Stack," bundling deterministic pricing, liquidation intelligence, and dynamic credit-risk assessment, alongside deepening integration with Morpho, where RedStone feeds reportedly secured 99.6% of TVS across Morpho's HyperEVM markets (~$359 million) as of 2026-06-11.
RedStone has undergone multiple third-party security audits, including from ABDK, AuditOne, Halborn, Codespect, Cantina (SpearBit), and BitsLab. These have covered components such as the Oracle Phase II release, token and vesting contracts, and the EVM connector, plus a Hacken patch audit of Solana-specific code in May 2025. One AuditOne audit reported a 100% security score with all medium- and low-severity issues resolved.
