GoPlus Security (GPS) is the native token of GoPlus Labs, a Web3 security infrastructure project deployed on Base, an Ethereum layer-2 network (also deployed on BNB Smart Chain).
GoPlus provides on-chain security tooling, including a Token Security API, Malicious Address API, NFT Security API, and Approval Security API, used to flag risks such as malicious contracts, phishing addresses, and risky token approvals before a transaction is signed. GPS launched via a Token Generation Event on January 16, 2025, following contract deployment on Base on January 14, 2025.
GoPlus differentiates itself by covering the full user-transaction lifecycle rather than a single security niche. It combines a consumer-facing app, a SaaS subscription for businesses, and the SafeToken protocol for secure token creation and management.
As of October 2025, GoPlus reported $4.7 million in revenue generated across these three channels. GPS holders and network participants stake the token to access and secure this infrastructure, tying token demand to usage of the underlying security services rather than to a single product.
GPS is both a utility and governance token used to access and secure GoPlus's Web3 security infrastructure.
GPS has a fixed maximum and total supply of 10,000,000,000 tokens, with circulating supply of approximately 5.837 billion as of 2026-09-03.
Team and backer allocations vest over roughly seven years from TGE via a 6-month cliff followed by two years of monthly linear vesting. Because max and total supply are equal, net issuance is disinflationary as circulating supply nears the 10 billion cap.
GPS launched via a Token Generation Event on January 16, 2025, two days after its contract was deployed on Base on January 14, 2025.
Before the TGE, GoPlus raised at least $35 million in disclosed private funding across two rounds: $25 million in 2023 led by Binance Labs and Redpoint China, and $10 million in June 2024 with OKX Ventures, HashKey Capital, and other investors. GPS began trading on KuCoin, Bitget, and MEXC at TGE; Binance listed it on March 4, 2025 via its HODLer Airdrops program, and GoPlus transferred 500 million GPS to Binance for rewards and marketing.
GoPlus Security (GPS) is deployed natively on Base, an Ethereum layer-2 network built on the OP Stack that settles to and inherits security from Ethereum's proof-of-stake consensus.
GPS is also deployed on BNB Smart Chain, which uses a Proof of Staked Authority consensus mechanism secured by a rotating validator set. GoPlus does not operate its own independent blockchain or validator set for the GPS token.
GoPlus Security was co-founded by Ming Li (also known as "Mike") and Eskil Xu, with Allen Zhang serving as co-founder and Chief Technology Officer / Global Tech Lead.
Key institutional backers across GoPlus's private funding rounds include Binance Labs and Redpoint China as lead investors, alongside OKX Ventures, HashKey Capital, Fenbushi, Web3Port, Animoca Brands, Quantstamp, Undefined Labs, 7UpDAO, and Ash Crypto, plus angel investor Richard Ma.
GoPlus Security is developed and maintained by GoPlus Labs, a Web3 security infrastructure company headquartered in Singapore.
GoPlus Labs operates gopluslabs.io and describes its mission as building a permissionless, user-driven security network covering the full user-transaction lifecycle. Its product suite includes a Token Security API, Malicious Address API, NFT Security API, Approval Security API, a Security Data Layer, and an AI-powered smart contract audit engine.
GPS functions as a governance token: holders' voting power is weighted by the amount of GPS staked, and votes are intended to influence protocol upgrades and security policies.
Network participants, including AVS Operators that provide decentralized security services and Security Data Contributors who validate security data, must stake GPS to participate and earn rewards. A dedicated Governance Portal for holders to submit and vote on proposals was planned for Q4 2025 as part of GoPlus's roadmap.
GoPlus introduced a Security Data Layer and an AI-powered smart contract audit engine in Q2 2025, expanding its automated risk-detection tooling.
A Governance Portal enabling GPS holders to submit and vote on proposals was planned for Q4 2025 as a stated roadmap priority. GPS staking for network participants, including AVS Operators and Security Data Contributors, was introduced around the token's Q1 2025 launch.
GoPlus's GitHub repository lists a SlowMist audit report for the GPS token.
CertiK's Skynet platform states it has not audited GoPlus Security, assigning an automated score of 86.57 (AA) while flagging multiple contract ownership privileges and extreme holder concentration. On-chain liquidity is thin relative to market capitalization. In March 2025, GPS fell 60-65% in a single day after its Binance listing; Binance attributed this to market-maker behavior, which GoPlus denied was insider dumping.
